Importing the MOV from AS into flash created a pretty large SWF file. Since it was an image sequence on the main timeline, the preloader took too long t load (for a site intro anyway). As an FLV, the initial SWF is tiny (about 35k) and the FLV loads/plays progressively - thereby eliminating the need...

Cone, Inc intro animation

Just thought I would share some client work with you all:

http://www.coneinc.com/

I used AS to animate the entire intro, exported it to quicktime, then as an FLV loaded dynamically into a flash movie. I could not have animated the flexibility of the rubber band any other way.

Why is NTSC preset 24fps?

PSD script suddenly prompts "Trim" feature?

I'm stumped - i have been using P'shop CS2 for a number of weeks, separating out images to layers and then running the Anime Studio script to generate an AS file. Suddenly today - everytime I run the script, the P'shop Trim dialog panel pops up prompting me to select a trim option. When I cancel the...

Thanks heyvern! Yeah - that helps a lot - i moved the default file and made my own. It's not perfect since the workspace won't launch maximized but all in all the menus are positioned exactly and it's a lot easier not having to close the anime project. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. ...

Save default layout?

I have been searching the forum but can't seem to find what I am looking for. I have AS Pro and everytime I launch it, I get the default project with the anime character (which is cool) but I always have to close it before working. Also - AS never remembers my layout state. I always have to re-organ...

Today I truly believe that drawing and animation, as well as many other things normally attributed to "talent" are skills which can be learned and mastered by anyone willing to put in the work and effort, regardless of how easily it comes to some. point taken and an interesting debate - b...

Just to recap my issue - the basic version does not allow an output larger than 768 x768 and 3000 frames.

Nice piece of animation as a first attempt. So you're from the days of FutureSplash (before Flash 1.0). I still have a copy of Flash 2.0 (released in april 1997). I didn't realize it, but it had an installer for Mac OS on it (Classic Environment). Ah well, yours is much better than mine, using Flas...

Looks good! Search this forum for heyvern's post on controlling chains of bones with control bones -- this could make the cat's tail movement look more fluid. Seen your work elsewhere -- great to have you on the forum! Thanks! I found his lion - great stuff! I have a lot of work still do to - but I...

Thanks Thatch - that's always nice to hear and even better to be recognized - means a lot. yeah - scanning from books - then quick masking out the characters and making plates from the backgrounds. Importing character layers into AS and hence the sample. I am using just the basic version of AS curre...

Ahhhhh! Wish I knew this or at least found it in the help docs - there's no mention of having to copy the plugin (I should have guessed). The site only mentions the plugin being included but no where does it say where it is or what to do with it.

Thanks.
