my very first AS animation and I have to say - very cool image warp/bones feature! I have been using Flash for 10 years and this is exactly what Flash lacks - bones and image warping. Thanks AS!

I've seen your Flash work and I'm sure with another week in AS you will be surpassing even that. Cat looks great. The image warping is a pretty awesome tool. I had talked to you a while ago about parenting tools in Flash you were testing...did those ever go anywhere? Anyways, great first test animation in AS, can't wait to see more.

Looks great and welcome. I also have seen some excellent Flash tutorials by you on adobe. Look forward to seeing more of your work.

Looks good! Search this forum for heyvern's post on controlling chains of bones with control bones -- this could make the cat's tail movement look more fluid. Seen your work elsewhere -- great to have you on the forum!
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Nice piece of animation as a first attempt.

So you're from the days of FutureSplash (before Flash 1.0). I still have a copy of Flash 2.0 (released in april 1997). I didn't realize it, but it had an installer for Mac OS on it (Classic Environment).

I did some doodling of my own, imported it into Moho (predecessor of AS) and created this ghastly looking GIF animation.

Ah well, yours is much better than mine, using Flash for the first time after so many years ;)

It must be because I'm an awfully bad draftsman, compared to you. So I'm impressed as well, namely by you!

Thanks! I found his lion - great stuff! I have a lot of work still do to - but I think I just got bitten by the AS bug.

Hi Rasheed - actually, I didn't discover Flash until version 2-3. But it was really version 4 when I started to really use it for broadcast. Web stuff came a little later.
Thanks for the kind words - I do believe you lowered the bar - but I'll take it :)

I believe version 4 of Flash is still the best one out there for animation.

Anyway, here is another attempt to animate a character in Moho I designed in Flash 2.0.
