Cone, Inc intro animation

Post by mudbubble »

Just thought I would share some client work with you all:

http://www.coneinc.com/

I used AS to animate the entire intro, exported it to quicktime, then as an FLV loaded dynamically into a flash movie. I could not have animated the flexibility of the rubber band any other way.

That's really sharp. Very eye-catching, I like it. :)

Snappy!
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Nice job Chris, looks great! AS is definitely great for that type of animation. Flash what?! ;)

Very nice, Chris. The rubber band motion is flawless.

One technical question....
...then as an FLV loaded dynamically into a flash movie.
why does it need to load dynamically? The site plays the rubber band anim every time, right? Is it grouped with some other database assets?

Just curious.

Importing the MOV from AS into flash created a pretty large SWF file. Since it was an image sequence on the main timeline, the preloader took too long t load (for a site intro anyway). As an FLV, the initial SWF is tiny (about 35k) and the FLV loads/plays progressively - thereby eliminating the need for a preloader for the most part.
