Moho some old 3D functions loses

Post by Panha »

Moho is a 2D software, however, its little 3D system is very helpful in most of my cases when I need to build 3D scenes. Though I don't use 3D options much but that one little tab help a lot when needed. Today, I just notice that some 3D functions that I used to see have been taken out for the new 14.3 versions. I was familiar with those options, though I don't used them much. Are they usedless options that needed to take out or are they just moved to an automatically selected by the software or moved to somewhere else?
Options I was talking about:
- Polygon orientation
- Warp using bones
Look at the image from Moho manual

they're still there -- but only visible if you have created a 3d layer and have it active.

I don't see there options in the 3D tab even when I have created a 3d layer and have it active.

have you created a 3d layer? You won't see them unless you're on a FULL 3D layer (IOW you won't see them in the 3d options on a 2d vector layer)

If the layer type icon is not a "cube" (see layer 2 in the layers panel) then you haven't got a 3d layer.

Ah! I see. I was on a 2d vector with 3d options most of the time. I used to import 3D layers, that's why I saw those options. Thank you very much for your information.

Years ago I made a tutorial on how to create 3D objects in Moho, file included, you can build some interesting 3D models and animate them in Moho, have a look!

I watched that video, it opened my eyes on how Moho can work more than I expected with 3D. Thank you for your great videos. :D. However, most of the time, I found Moho centered point or original point is hard to get them right in Moho studio. This make, most of the time, my 3d prop floats even on the z rotation ground if I carelessly guess the position where the prop should be on z arcs position. But that's totally okay, because Moho is not a 3D software. :D Yet, if one day, the developers decide to add more functionality to help 3D in 2D better especially the precise 3D original that users can set clearly to prevent objects to like floating, it would be the big extra bonus for those who like working with some 3D in 2D.❤️
