Sunrise layer

I'm trying to make the sky or the feel of my stage go from night time to daylight. Can anyone explain the best way to accomplish this. Much thanks.

You can animate the colors of a shape. For example you can use a dark blue rectangle as your background, move down the timeline, select your triangle with the 'Select Shape' tool (shortcut Q), then change the color of the rectangle to a light blue or orange'ish color for the sunrise.

the color of the rectangle will change as the animation plays.

Thank you drumlug, I was able to filter the whole scene using your suggestion and adjusting the alpha channel with the select shape tool. Awesome.
