Hello.... finally I have finished my first work with moho, it´s a 7 min video with an excellent quality of image, that I´d like to keep, but in it´s original form have a weight of something like 1 Gb....... so I need to compress the file in order to be able to publish it over the internet....... I´m thinking in 320 x240 screen size and 25 fr/sec..... But with the codec I´ve tried (windows media encoder, wmv)I reached 18 mb files, with a good quality but the require a very high data transer rate .....
Do somebody know a codec or a program that I could use to compress the file in order to have a good image quality and a lower data transfer rate????

WMV should be pretty good.

I'd highly recommend you try a lower frame rate (like 12 fps or 15, half the rate of your original), it should look good and be about half the size. At 7 minutes you probably won't get it much below 10mb (it can vary depending on what's the video of course).

Try Sorenson3 of Quicktime. It's really great in compression.

i think 10-20 MB will be fine already if it's worth the download

Hello there.

Quicktime 7 has h264 compression, it is really good and gives compact files with high quality but you need to register Quicktime pro which is 29$.

Would make it easier on Mac users and Linux since wmf is a microsoft codec, not sure how well it is suported on Macs and Linux systems, just a thought.

I also like the xvid codec, which is free and really good, creates avi's.
