The most likely explanatiion is that one or more points are directly on top of each other in one of your shapes. It means going back over your shapes and tweaking each and every point to see where the problem lies. It's a time-consuming pain in the arse, but I haven't found a quicker way...

It's usually some kind of discrepancy in the way your shapes have been constructed. Save a copy of your work, then try leaving out one shape at a time while you render to swf. That should enable you to find the problem; when you do, it might be quicker to just rebuild that shape rather than try to fix it...

Your answer is awesome! I followed your instruction and settled the problem. Then there poped up a new problem: I want an advertising slogan to jump out one word by another, and I created the words in png files individually, then back to Anime, I let them to be invisible at first, and become visible when they should appear. When I export the file to SWF, some blocks jumped out from nowhere! I have examined everything, still confused................

Sorry I forgot to say thank you so much, and I really appreciate your help! You probably found my English not so good, the reason being that English is my second language.

SWF export from Anime Studio has not been improved in years. I have complained about it in the past, but nothing ever seems to get done. It's obviously a low priority...

If you have Flash, then what you describe would be easier to do in Flash. Export the swf file from AS into Flash, and then animate the slogan in Flash.

If you don't have Flash, then try to steer clear of bitmaps like png files - they cause problem when exporting to swf. Try typing out the slogan in Anime Studio using the text tool and see if that is any better. Do a short test first to see if it behaves like you want it to.

thanks again

Well, then I will try Flash as see if i can manage it. Actually I found the problem of the png file: Since the slogan is in Chinese, the English Anime is unable to type the characters, so I must make the characters in png with photoshop. Then in Anime, the transparent part of png pops out into solid squares, instead of being invisible..... as you said, they should improve the software.

(Could you please write in plain normal text, it's annoying to read those bold big headlines. Thx.)

Usually AS has no problems with PNGs and transparency. Check your PS file for errors and make sure you use PNG-24, not PNG-8.

Well, if you mix bitmaps and bones it's not going to export to swf format, which I would guess is what is happening. Just trying to keep it simple. But you know best, of course...

Sorry? I did that successfully in the past. It works if you don't use "warp with bones", use layer binding only, and don't use any other rotation than around Z.

Ha ha! It's funny if you can't see it.

I found it impossible to do it smoothly importing SWF into Flash, because the file becomes so big that the computer is jammed. Then I figured out the easiest way is to import all SWF files into After Effect and piece them into one movie. I like this forum, thank you guys!

but if you're compositing in after fx then you not working with SWF/vector format so why not just export in a video format like quicktime and going straight to after fx!?
