Halo Cartoon: Semi-SouthPark Style [Feedback Please]
I have really changed the look of the Southpark character. I would like any feedback that anybody could give. What can I do to make it look better?

Consistancy: a good style is consistent. But your eyes are too different from the rest of the character,
they look like plastic toy eyes glued on paper.
Indifference: right now you're halfways between a cutout and a drawn character. I think a clear decision
for one of them would be better, and personally I'd go to the drawn side, as AS is so good at that.
Colours: have a look with half closed eyes. Can you recognise any element on the first pose? A good
colour scheme is always a bit "functional": different colours for skin, cloth, mittens, visor, additional
stuff on suit. Right now you have odd pairings, whis means the same colour for:
- boots and knee protectors and buckles
- mittens and shoulder patches and visor and breathing filters
- helmet and suit
Face: how old is your character, and why is the head a nearly perfect circle? I think you should go
further away from South Park. Look at the nose: it's a shape without outline in profile, but a thin line
in frontal view. How would you do a 3/4 view? Why are the ears missing? The face is flat, why are there
no shadows under eyebrows and nose?
I leave you with that right now. Additional tip: if you're still searching for a good design, don't just
change small parts. Get paper and pencil and make really big changes. Hold on to the concept
of cut-out simplicity while not falling for the same look as SP. Final thought: how does the world
look like in which your character lives? Good character design always tests for good readability
in front of different BGs while still matching style.
