Multiple Patch Problem

Post by Yosemite Sam »

Hello again,

So I created and rigged a character using patches. Everything worked fine. Than I created a new character and am having this odd issue:

I have a patch on the joint between the forearm and the bicep, as well as a patch between the upper bicep and the torso (shoulder to be precise). Both patches are doing their jobs, but when I raise the character's forearm around the shoulder patch it's blocking out the lines. The "shoulder patch" is effecting the forearm, which it shouldn't.

I rigged a previous character in this same manner and had no issues. But on the new character it seems that any layer that I move into the area of the "shoulder patch" becomes susceptible to that patch.

Not sure if I'm explaining this correctly. If not then I will post picks of what I'm trying to explain.

But basically the first character I created the patches were patching a specific area, however now, it seems that these patches are patching any layer that crosses the patches path.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
