So, i've been trying to find a way to sketch pencils before doing the AS stuff on top. Ramon's lost pencil tool is great, but i've not really figured it out yet (i can't get onionskinning to work). So I created a sketch animation in PAP (which is now free - http://plasticanimationpaper.dk/) which is great.
When I export from PAP I can export as PNG frames, and tell it not to select the clones, so for timing it names like this:
librarian0001.png
librarian0013.png
librarian0025.png
...etc
where thenumber relates to the intended frame switch.
Would it be possible to script an 'import to switch' which lets you choose the first drawing in a sequence, and then it imports all frames into a switch layer and automatically places switches at the right frames based on the frame number? That would save loads of work!
as an aside, unfortunately PAP doesn't export PNGs with alpha, so you have to change the layer to multiply (which could be done automatically by the script on a tick maybe?) - strangely though, as pointed out by selgin elsewhere (bugs) the blending modes only work on a solid background in AS otherwise you get a big black area...
Anyway - would be keen to here scripters thoughts on this... perhaps it could even have an 'update' button to go with it so if new frames are added later they are automatically inserted when you run the button?
Thanks for listening
