Re: Help Shape the Future of Anime Studio

I wish the future AS versions will also be able to make full interactive animation like Flash, Edge Animate, Expression Blend, Hippo Animator, Sencha Animator, etc. If it is not in the plans of SmithMicro, at least, I would like to have the possibility to export animation also in SVG, XAML and HTML5...

Re: Weird SWF export from Anime Studio Pro 9.0

if you have ASP9, patches are no longer necessary - why don't you use smart bone actions? Yes, you're all right. That's the main reason why I upgraded to ASP9. But every time I need to use the characters from the Character Wizard, I have to modify the character itself by deleting the patches and mo...

Re: Weird SWF export from Anime Studio Pro 9.0

Thank you very much for you information, slowtiger.
I will try to avoid the use of patches whenever I need to export to SWF.

Weird SWF export from Anime Studio Pro 9.0

Hi all, I have a problem I am unable to solve by myself. Every time I use characters from the Character Wizard, when I export to SWF, the seams of the different parts of the character are visible and the layers seems to be not in the correct Z-order. Any hints about that? Thank you. http://i47.tinyp...

slowtiger, you're all right. At the moment Adobe Flash is certainly unbeatable as for drawing and animation complexity. Even though I personally prefer AS for many reasons. As you know, the Flash SWF file format is hidden and not accessible (which could be good in some cases but also bad in some oth...

SVG in AS 8.1

the SVG import in AS 8.1 update is what I really expected. A big Thank you. It is so rare to see companies who listen to their customers. I recently realized how developpers in general (Adobe, among the others) are moving towards HTML5, CSS, and SVG tools for the next future animation technology. Wi...

I recently upgraded from ASPro 5.5 to 7.1 and, I must recognize, that they really have done a great job with the new version under many aspects. Thank you all. As for SVG import, I must admit however, -- expecially nowadays that so many people (me included) use inkscape as their main 2d drawing tool...

Thank you, Genete.

I will try the method you suggest. For the future, it would be really nice to have the possibility to reparent bones during animation or any other simpler method for achieving the same effect I mentioned in my previous post.

Best Wishes,
Tony

Breaking IK chain during animation?

When using bones, is there a way by which my character can put a box down and moving his arm back to its rest position, leaving the object on the ground? The same applies also for picking up a glass from a table, or putting a hat on, etc. Is there a way to reparent bones during animation? Any other ...

While there is no special input process provided, cut-and-paste from other sources works fine into the Insert Text box for hiragana, katakana, and kanji, and various European accents, in the few tests I've done (it doesn't always look correct in the input box, but it inserts and renders fine). Natu...

Fahim doesn't work for AS anymore i don't think. Hunt down 'LostMarble' and PM him. Otherwise a fix for time being is just to draw the accent in. Or use photoshop or a likewise editing program and export the text, and then import it into AS. Or Just add the text after you've finished animating (whi...

Re: comments on update version

Hi All, Firstly, the updated versions will be free to all registered Anime Studio owners. There will be 2 updated builds Anime Studio and Anime Studio Pro. Anime Studio's render issue will be solved, we're returning that feature. The mac version of Anime Studio Pro has a few bugs with image sequenc...
