Well, here's an idea: if you really want to do these toons, but you would also like to keep "the suits" from running you down (if you get my drift--I'm choosing my terms carefully), why not focus exclusively on political cartoons?

Political cartoons have a unique role as free speech, and as far as I know, offer a unique shield for the re-use of intellectual props.
