Got board of working on my chearleader project and so i am now trying to create a charicter totaly in AS rather than importing paths my only prob so far is that it takes ages to put vecter shapes in order if they are on one vector layer? is there any way around this like selecting more than one shape and moving them together ? is there a short cut key? ie "ctrl }"in illustrator?

If you want to move shapes you just need to move points. If you can select more points you can select more shapes. I think SHIFT key pressed makes an addition to the currently selected points. Also remember that TAB key selects all the connected points (good if the shape is isolated).

Also if the shape is hidden you can select it just picking over it and later pressing CTRL and DOWN to select successive hidden shapes in the stack.

See the built in help for more short cuts and tips regarding selecting shapes and points.

Your character is pretty cute! Regarding to the head maybe it could be a little smaller (the cranium not the face) only a little. That's my taste.
