When creating an Action [in Anime Studio Pro only], don't do any of the following:
Save
Undo
Select All
Doing any of these while in the Action timeline will cause errors to pop up, and may screw up your animation file. It happened to me. I have this habit of saving often, and that kept happening to me even though I knew it caused a prob just a few minutes earlier. After a few of these errors, Anime Studio Pro just locked up. Don't let it happen to you.
There may be more things to avoid; these are the ones I discovered today.
It's OK to do those things after you've finished creating or editing your Action, and you have once again returned to the main Timeline by clicking the "Mainline" item in the Actions window. Just don't do it while working on an Action.
Actions: don't Save, Undo, or Select All when creating one

You'll obtain that error if you open any of the menus or press a short cut of the menu commands.
It is due that the menu commands have some routines that are called when they are asked to be greyed or not (depending on if they are available from the selected layer or objects) It is during that routine call where it checks if any action is being edited and pop up that warning message.
I believe that the select all (CTRL+A) operation would not affect the file if it is done meanwhile a action edition. Other thing is the Save operation... It could messup the file, I don't know...
If LM wrote those warining lines it was for some reason...

Makes sense, Genete. I just wanted to be pro-active and warn folks before it happened to them. The manual does not mention these warnings, and they come too late to do you any good [they appear after you do the thing the warning tells you might have screwed up your file].
