Whats up everyone, I'm pretty new to the whole bone set up and I know I'm doing something wrong. I created this deer to have front shot of him running but when I move the legs it goes all crazy, i cant make it look like he is running, any help would be much appreciated, the files link is below. Thanks

hi chumamania. i have download your deer and i can see several problems. but don't worry, can be easily fixed.
first. you haven't clear how to setup the skeleton. take a look to the tutorial 3.4 to know about bones' hierarchy. i have reconstructed your skeleton, take a look to the file.
second, for bone binding the best is draw the character parts far each other (see the file in frame zero, back legs aren't in its real position). with this, a bone won't interfere with a part which not correspond do it. look tutorial 3.1 too.
third, bones are not magical. to work, they need points in the shape. i saw that the legs of your deer didn't work well when i moved them. this is because the shape hadn't points in the knees, so the bones (which, i repeat, works moving points) didn't know that actually there was a knee.
four and last, i think, when you move the leg and it touch another part of the body, the intersection lose its color. you can create (as i made in the file) create several different shapes inside one figure, and paint them separately. look at this discussion in the forum to have an idea of what i'm talking (my english is not good, i know, and there are a lot of things that i think, but i can't find the words to express this).
five and last last. take a look to the tutorial, there is a lot of info which could help you much better than me.
