Script Download Page

Post by Lost Marble »

We've created a new script download page on the Lost Marble website (see link below). If you've created a new menu script or tool, and want to make it available for other users to download, we'd be happy to post it on the site.

If your script is still a work-in-progress, it might be best to share it here on this forum. When you think it's ready for anyone to use, go ahead and contact us through the page below to get your script on the website.

Great! I can't write code to save my life but I can use pre-made scripts in imaginative ways...I hope.
And a quick question, I've been playing around with version 5 and I tried the camera shake (bit too much shaking for my taste, are there parameters I can set? Let me guess, by writing a script). But what if I want to remove that effect. Is that possible? In particular after editing other stuff so UNDO is no longer an option.

Reindert.

All the camera shake script does is set the interpolation mode for camera moves to "Noisy". You could easily do this yourself by selecting all the camera keyframes and setting them to Noisy. (Or remove the effect by setting sthe keyframes to Smooth.)

If you do it yourself, you can also control the noisy interpolation settings.

You can put this up there if you want. I wont really be updating it anytime soon. Unless people show some interest and want it updated.

Actually, Mohoptimize is already up there on a different page, under "Third Party Software". It's a script, but not a Moho script, so I listed it under other software.

From the main Moho download page is a link to these extra components/software:

The only thing on this page is Pamela. There's nothing in the Scripts page either. Seems like some of 7feet's tools should be there at least.

Mohoptimize was removed since the link appears to be broken. And there's nothing on the scripts page because no one's ever submitted any. (We had some of our own scripts up there, but they're now all included with version 5.1.)

I asked 7feet for his scripts a long time ago, but I don't remember what happened. 7feet (if you're readint this): were you going to put together a web page yourself, or would you like me to add all your scripts to our script page?

Hey, chief, I was working on the page yesterday. I've been spending a few days fixing things I didn't like in the scripts. If I don't get it done by tommorow, I'll just send 'em over to you. Had been meaning to for quite a while. Just life getting in the way of what I'd rather be doing, as per usual.

I'm on it.

I am working on some tools to replace and expand the original tools from Lost Marble. You can download these files from:

http://www.firkafilm.com/moho/index.html

My question: Is there any place where a visitor can find the most useful collections of scripts ever made for moho? Or at least a collection of links? If not, maybe it would be good to create one, with traffic count and vote...

It is really hard to find the downloadable scripts in the Forum!

Another problem is the documentation. Maybe we could find a possibility to expand the Moho help docs with the documentations of the installed scripts.

Hummm... Yeah! I'm waiting almost a year for those Examples*** of the scripting doucumentation and nothing... :?

About the other thing... YEAH! (too) Really it'd be nice a site like that, maybe with it the motivation of the scripters would grow up (still more :)) and would be easy to know how much useful certain scripts are and even how it could be better (still too :))

BTW... THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR CONTRIBUTION!!! :D Your tools/scripts are GREAT and I wanted to write in your post about it when I have a chance... We'll see there, CIAO!

About the html manuals: I am thinking on a solution with a modified version of "toc.html" in the Moho help folder. It could allow the scriptwriters to put some html documentation into the scripts/tool, scripts/menu folder together with the lua file.

ADDED: I tried it. It's not easy because the JavaScript is even more idiot than lua. I think this is possible but only if Moho's core program creates a .js include-file for the toc.html (Practically at every start of the program). It knows where it is running and where are the help files, how to open a file there etc. C or the other "real" programming languages have proper directory handling, unlike LUA or JavaScript.

I took the liberty of listing them on my site -though I only point to your page and haven't mirrored copies of the files.
