So I am Back on Particles. I was able to use them for most of my other scenes so I am improving I promise. But I haven't managed to conquer the Paths and Base Shapes part.
Here is a link to the file: [update link removed due to solution being found]
So I have a cyborg canine thing breaking apart its body and need it to move in certain directions and shapes.
It has three parts being moved around.
Plates
Gears
Nanotech
Plates and Gears are manual layers. (I am fine with these.)
The Nanotech is the particle layers I need help on. I need it to confirm to a base and follow paths. help!
I thought the base part would be easy but for some reason the nanotech is floating outside the cloud shape base. I used a particle base successfully for fire but this file is not working for some reason.

Re: Oh No I am Back on Particles and Needing Paths and Base Shapes Help.
I finally found a solution. I started the particles over in a new file and bound them to the base. I brought that file over into my original file. I am still not good with paths but moving the base shape around accomplishes what I need. Nanotech 1 is the working particle file. Nanotech 2 and Nanotech 3 are nonworking place holders.
