Hello All,
I dont know if this has been discussed before, but how do i modify(shorten) the smart bone diameter, as I am using raster image for animation and the large joint diameter moves the character dress with it. Any tips?

Re: Modifying Smooth Joint Diameter
Without seeing an example, I'd guess either using regional bone binding and adjusting the bone strength, "link bones to layer", or using bone offset. Those options can help isolate bone influence to specific areas or layers.

Re: Modifying Smooth Joint Diameter
I believe Smooth Joint uses the width of your image to define the diameter of the region, or more specifically, the width of the mesh Moho creates to deform the image. The circle always appears slightly wider than the art, probably because the hidden mesh is a little wider. So, the circle is not something you would adjust independently of the artwork. It's just an indicator of where the deformation will occur.
Years ago, I had to rig a character with large 'triangular' shaped arms, where the upper part was very wide and the lower part was very narrow. This turned out to be a bad candidate for Smooth Joint, and I wound up using a custom mesh with Flexi-Binding and a Smart Bone Action to get the result we wanted.
I'm not sure what happens if you use a custom mesh with Smooth Joint. You can try to make the mesh wider, but this might not matter because Moho uses only what's visible, and of course, making the mesh narrower will clip the artwork.
If the bones in your Smooth Joint pair are affecting artwork outside of what you want them to affect, do what Synthsin75 suggested and use Link Bones to limit which bones affect the selected artwork. If you use Link Bones, you'll probably want to use it for every layer that's affected by Flexi-binding.
Hope this helps.

It's called "Use Selected Bones For Flexi-binding" in Moho 12.vivekchakraverty wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 7:25 am But I am working on Moho 12 and I cant find the Link Bone to Layer option!
