Export characters and delete motion paths?
I'm wondering how one saves an individual moho object and how one can delete motion paths as i can't see them in the timeline

1.) Go to File/Import/Moho Object.../ choose any saved Moho-file
from your system / the “Insert Object” window should open up /
choose your object / click OK.
2.) Select the “Translate Layer Tool” (1) / on top of the Editor-View
check “Show Path” / select the “Orbit Tool” (9) and click in the View-port /
in the “Layers” select your object with the motion-path / select the Translate-Layer-Tool again /
you should see your motion-path in the View-port now.
If you still want to delete this path go to Animation / Clear Animation
from Layer / make your choice about including sub-layers “Yes or No” /
and your motion-path is gone.
Cheers

As F.M. implies, Moho doesn't yet have the ability to save an individual object/layer, although it's been mentioned as a feature request. If you currently want to re-use the object (presumably the reason you want to save it alone), you just import it from the original file.

Yes and No.... I think. You have to play around with it.Alsmithee wrote:if you turn off all other eyes and save does the .moho file save only those with eyes turned on?
If you turn off the layers using the eyeball and save... yes, those layers will be OFF when you open it again. I don't know for sure if those layers remain off when you import into another project file.
However even if those layers are off... they still are part of the project. If they aren't ever needed for a specific animation they probably should just be deleted.
Also, if you save a project with groups or bones or individual layers when you import that file into another project you can pick and choose which layers to bring in. It seemed extremely plain and obvious to me the first time I did it anyway.
Even if you import more than you need from another Moho file, all you have to do is delete the unwanted layers.
------------
Working example...
I have a very large project with a dozen or so characters for many scenes.
sometimes I have several "versions" of the characters or just one depending on the scene or scenes.
I just import one of these "base" files into a new projec. I delete the layers I don't need (legs if only seen from the waist up... head turn switches if the heads never turn in that particular scene... delete the lip synch layers if they don't speak... etc...).
Moho is a great program but you have to just work around simple situations.
Also if you clicked off those eyeballs and saved a file and opened it you would know imediately how it works. Experiment... you can't break anything I promise!
