Can the bone bind settings be reflected in the reference layer?

Post by teke »

Hello everyone.
I have set up a lot of point bindings on the original layer, but it seems that the bindings settings are not synchronized on the reference layer.
It is a bit tiring to manually set them the same way.
Should I have created the reference layer after I had also finished setting up all the bone bindings?

Yeah this has happened to me too. It looks like the point binding is not transferred to the reference, even if you try to update it. I think the only way was to delete the reference and create it again. I remember this happening not only with point bindings but with some other changes aswell. It's something that could be improved.

Since reference layers are meant to reference animated stuff, non-animatable properties are ignored. I agree that this should probably be made optional in the future.

Yep that would be handy. It's not animatable but it's like adding or removing points, so it would make sense to have those non animatable properties as options on the update reference options panel.
