:D Ok this is somthing that I know no one here will do but... IT WOULD MAKE A REALLY COOL NEW FEATURE!

I Have set up charicters in the past so that there is 5 Differnt Rigs of Front, 3/4 Front, Side 3/4 Back and Back Rigs of the Charactor Put them on a switchlayer that way you could turn them when you need to ect... BUT!
If you could rig just the bones in 3D like in 3Ds max.... Just the bones and you still had to do the drawings but the 3D rotation of the bones made the switchlayers change Then you could really Speed up the animation prosses. Now Combine that with the ability to switch layers based on angle as well and with the ability to morph points based on bones and you have a really advanced 2D animation tool.

It would take a while to rig a caractor yes but it eould be as follows:

Now when you rotate the bones in 3D space as a whole they change.
For mor complex characters you ad the Switchlayer based on bone angel and rotation.

For each angle you would set this up as needed it you dont need it you dont touch it but for the front view lets say it would be set to smooth out the transition of an arm swinging front to back Combine that with a Compleat switch as it gose behind and automatic layer Depth so that you would be able to just move an arm from in font to behind or whatever you could build up a caracters rig once for a template and just fill in the layers to make other characters. You could create a cast of 2D Toons That work Somewhat like 3D ones and once Built REALLY speed up a long turn workflow as you could just pose and rotate. Also For the switchlayers...
There should be a slider bar with preview to switchthem like they threw into Toonboom Solo. Its very helpfull. :D
