How about an Edit Text tool?

I know Moho doesn't have a Font layer; fonts are just shapes drawn on a vector layer. But could it be possible for a script to remember those shapes and when you click on them using an Edit Text tool, you can edit them and redisplay them as shapes? To remember the text settings a note layer could be used, so when you reload such a Moho file, you can re-edit the text.
