Why does my layers change size for no reason?

Post by Calfuso »

I have all my layers in a single bone layer so i can affect all the layer at once if i want. I have not change the x or y size between frames on that bone. I have not either changed the size on any of the layers compared to frame 0 and other frames. All the layers and the general bone layer is the exact same size for all frames. Yet my layers change size in all frames past frame 0. I have not done anything at all to make them change size and i can,t figure out what the reason is. Can anyone please help me whit what the reason could be and how to fix it please?

Here is the correct version of the project. I did already post a new topic whit this becuase i thaugth that, that would be more clear. But now i instead edit this post. I will only read posts made after
this editing.

Which channels do you have keyframed on the timeline? Camera zoom... point motion?

Have you moved any layers in the sequencer?

I just looked at your file. Nothing is getting larger from frame 0 to 1. You have a camera zoom on frame 700.

Try turning off your computer to start fresh. then reopen the file.

Why does my layers change size for no reason?(Updated)

I not long ago did ask the exact same question but i did something wrong there so i need to ask it again. Please don't lock this topic becuase of that. In my previous topic, the project i linked to was a version of the project that i had done some changes to try to solve the problem on my own. unsuccessfylly of course since i still ask this. But now i link to a version of the project only whit the problem and nothing else. I have all my layers in a single bone layer so i can affect all the layer at once if i want. I have not change the x or y size between frames on that bone. I have not either changed the size on any of the layers compared to frame 0 and other frames. You should edit your original post instead of making a duplicate post.

You have layer translation and camera keyframes. If the channel is showing, you have keyframes somewhere.

You have a newbee mistake. Motion is normally two keys. One to hold the movement from happening and one to change it. And if you want to go back to where you started you will need one more key.

Okay so for those who suggested it, it was the track camera and camera zoom that was the problem. I didn't think those thinga actually changed the size and position of the layers, i just thaugth they changed your wieving space like the normal zoom did. Really something i could have been able to have figured out on my own i had looked deeper into things. But anyway thanks for all the help. The problem is solved now.

As a general rule: Don't move the camera! Move everything other than the camera. Camera moves are last thing you do.

The problem with moving the camera is that everything moves. So let say you wanted to the main character to move back and get smaller, but you have trees that should stay the same size. If you move the camera you change the size of everything and its position in the shot.
