Morphs across different layers

Post by Reindeer »

Hi, is it possible to use one action to morph across different layers?
Say I want to make the character to bloat like a balloon. I can create a 'bloat' action to morph his body into a round shape, but as far as I can see it will only work on the body layer. If I want to also morph arms legs and head, I have to create an action for each layer. Is there a way to get around this? Thanks.

if you put a regular action in the top-level group / bone layer I'm pretty sure you can manipulate all the lower layers - will that work for you?

I actually had Blend Morphs in mind. I am not quite sure what a Regular action is, sorry. So far I've learned to do Blend Moprhs and Bone Dials there's a lot of stuff I still don't know.
I did although try what you suggested, I put three test layers (head, mouth eyes) in a group (folder) and created an action to make the character look left.
When I clicked on the action the timeline turned pink sure enough for each and all layers so I edited the positions of all three layers and then went back to the Mainline. But no, on trying the morph, it didn't work. It applied to one layer only.

When you do the morph, click on the bone layer and create actions.
Animate the bloating
Then in morph dials all the layers will be animating as long you go to the actions/morph for bone
Don't forget! No one is perfect!
