Importing PSD images.

Post by toymaker1 »

Image Image
Hello.

I am having trouble importing a PSD image into Anime Studio Pro 11 on OSX 10.11.2 El Capitan iMac.
In a Smith Micro tutorial, it shows the layered PSD image coming into Anime Studio Pro with a bone layer already created, in addition to the individual layers.
When I import a PSD~ image, no bone layer is automatically created. There is just a folder icon shown in the top layer.
I have attached an file showing my imported layered PSD image which i want to animate inside Anime Studio Pro 11. You can see that there is no bone layer.
I have also attached a file showing the Smith Micro You tube tutorial, you can see there is a bone layer created when the layered PSD image is imported.
Can anyone give any advice about this?

Thanks.

I'm sure someone will correct me if this is wrong, but I think you are confusing two things. You can import a PSD file into AS, which will preserve layers if you want. You can *also* use a script file within Photoshop, which will export a series of layers to AS complete with a bone layer. They are two very different processes.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

You can right-click on the group layer to convert it to a bone layer.
