Weird Camera Distortion
So I've been using Anime Studio for a month now. I've been learning a lot and my first animated short is well on it's way to completion.
However, a few days back I encountered a problem. I was importing a file when, without consciously changing any settings, the camera distorted everything that wasn't in the dead center of the lens. It looks like I used the perspective points tool to slant it all. When I use the track camera tool to slowly pan by the character, the distortion is evident even after I render the video. Now, I can use a trick which gets rid of most of the noticeable distortion by placing the camera far away and then zooming up close. But I'm sure there's a solution to fix this problem correctly.
Now, I'm fairly sure it's not a result of importing it. I don't think importing could cause that. Is there some kind of setting which I accidentally switched which made that file (and none others) go wacko?
I can post a video and/or upload the file.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Weird Camera Distortion
So I figured out that importing the file was the problem. For some finicky reason, whenever I modify the layers that I imported, afterwards the camera no longer distorts them. It's weird, and I'm still looking for a real solution because it will be a hassle to fix everything using that method.

Re: Weird Camera Distortion
I'd have to have an example of a problem file to track down the issue.

Re: Weird Camera Distortion
I vaguely remember having this problem 2 yrs ago.
In the imported layer, check:
1. the point of origin
2. Z value.
If you reset both, the problem should vanish.

Re: Weird Camera Distortion
I tried to do what you suggested, Slowtiger, but either I misinterpreted your instructions or there's a different problem.
I will gladly share the file with either of you if you wouldn't mind taking a look.

Re: Weird Camera Distortion
Would it work for you if I uploaded it to Dropbox? I don't know of another way to share it with you.

Re: Weird Camera Distortion
I'm not seeing the problem here. Can you share the file that shows the problem...the one you've imported this into and tracked the camera across?

Re: Weird Camera Distortion
Try moving the camera using the track camera function. Move it a fair distance to one side and then scroll back to the image.

Re: Weird Camera Distortion
Yeah, I did that. That's why I'm asking for the file the problem actually occurs in.

Re: Weird Camera Distortion
Well, that is the very file that I've been having a problem with. I'm not sure what else I can do.

Re: Weird Camera Distortion
If the file you shared is the one that shows the problem, you should have left the camera track keyframes. You know, the bit that actually shows the problem.

Re: Weird Camera Distortion
Hi.
I also have this weird distortion problem with one of my figures while it's not at the center of the camera.
As far as I know, it seems to me that the layers that compose the whole figure (grouped) aren't at the same Z coordinate. But I don't know how to put all layers at the same Z coordinate.
I found that when I tryied to invert the figure GROUPED LAYERS side using the TRANSFORM LAYER (of the group) tool, rolling it from left side to right side. When the moving is at the middle, you can see the different position of the different layers.
There must have a way to compress all layers that belongs to a same group to the same Z cordinate.
