Hi all,
Im having this issue with switch layers. I can have a hand drawn and boned but as soon as I make a switch folder and place the hand into it, it's pivot changes from the bone and its movement is way off from the arc.
Any suggestions why this is happening or how I can fix it?

Re: Switch Layer Problem
Either change the origin of the switch layer to be the same as the pivot for the bone, release the switch layer from bone influence and use nested bone control, or bind the switch layer to the bone.

Re: Switch Layer Problem
Thanks for the advice but I tried everything you've said and it didnt work.
I even deleted the whole rig, smart bones, basically everything and it would still offset any new switch layer( and only a switch layer ).
I ended up deconstructing my character and then cut and paste everything into a new file without bones. I tried making a few switch layers and it works now.
I lost all my smart bones and dials but I wasn't that far into it, just lost about a day's work. Even though it was an unfortunate weird bug, I learned a lesson to have my toon all drawn up first just in shapes and saved into a different file from any bones, just in case I need to re-rig it.
Cheers

Re: Switch Layer Problem
I have seen this too,
I managed to fix it but can't remember what it was.
It could have been something like the z depth of some layers where not zero, though I certainly hadn't done that myself.
You might want to post here for a second set of eyes, next time.
If there is any nda issue then you could put some dummy vectors in place until the problem is found.
