Following the tutes: p95, Rotation (ASP 9.2)

I'm following the default tutorial and on p95 it says to use the Layer Transform Angle setting to rotate layer #5 (building a cube). Up to this point all the steps in the tutorial have worked fine, but entering a 90 in the Angle setting has no effect.

Obviously the layer should rotate around the X axis. What might make this NOT happen?
