am looking to create a small animation about cowboy/indian like in da westing and am short of ideas,,

Is this going to be the typical cowboy-indian type of fight? I'd suggest making it a bit more interesting, and maybe even a little more "politically correct". But of course, that's up to you.
Are the characters skinny? fat? Tall? Short? What kind of clothes do they have? Is the cowboy a badguy? If so, typically he'd wear all black then. Do they ride horses? Old west towns usually had a sheriff. and a barber, and a blacksmith. Is there a saloon? Or is it just these two characters.
If it's not in a town, is it in the desert? Are there cacti? Are there animals? birds, snakes, gophers, etc?
Outhouses are an endless supply of fun for cartoons!
Guns? Bow and arrows?
Things to rob:
A stagecoach?
A bank?
A train?
