Rendering Heavy Outline

Post by neeters_guy »

The Heavy Outline option for Layer Style (Project Setting, under Render Style) is useful, but I notice that when a vector in a bone layer is nested in another bone layer, the outline gets heavier. If you nest more bone layers, the outline gets progressively heavier.

I wonder if there is a way to keep the heavy outline consistent or is this the way it works?

are you sure you dont have 'heavy outline' on every sub layer? that would cause it to multiply... only the top layer should have it?

It sounds to me like this is the way it works. I know this rendering styles can be scripted, maybe someone could write a "heavy outline only for top parent layers" script.

Thanks for the feedback. I noticed that this doesn't happen with switch or group layers, only bone layers. The take away is if you want a consistent heavy outline, avoid nested bone layers.
