Intuos 5 Touch - Pro 9 problems

I just upgraded to Pro 9 and my Wacom Intuos 5 Touch doesn't work very well.

The pen controls are fine, but the touch pad doesnt work at all. The touch pad worked on Pro 7.

Does anyone have any experience of this and any tips to fix it?

There's a small checkbox above the timeline --- Multitouch.

Once I unchecked that box the tablet worked fine.
