hello guys,
is there a way to make the opacity of a layer change from 100% to 0% for example frame 1 to frame 10?
wanted to use this getting into scene where the layer ist first total black and the disappears so you can see what is now happening.
until i solved this with making several switch layers with diffrent opcity an switching them each frame, but there must be a easier way

Re: Change Opacity from 100% to 0%?
enable animated layer effects in layer properties. Opacity can then be animated - as you say - set (leave) it at 100% on frame 1 and then move to frame 10 and set it to 0%. Depending on your work area view quality settings you might not see the results until you render.
Re: Change Opacity from 100% to 0%?
There's one little twitch with opacity - it can be animated, of course, but because 100% is the default you can''t start with creating the key with 100%!
1. Go to the frame where you want to start the fade-out.
2. In Layer properties, check "animated layer effects".
3. Set opacity to 0%.
4. Move that key to its final position.
5. Open Layer properties again and set opacity to 100%.
Now you've successfully created two keys for opacity. I tend to copy & paste these, it's faster.
