layer end time?

Post by JohnBozi »

Hi, this is my first post, how you guys going?

I am quite new to animation sorry, so mostly looking for help for now. I hope this isn't a stupid dumb question.

I know how to set the layer start time, but how do I set the layer end time?

For example i have a layer that appears at a certain time and then I want it to simply disappear at a particular frame. I don't want to just shift it off the screen, or is that how it is done? freeze all points on the last frame and then just shift it out of view?

Thanks

Go to the frame you want, open the layer proprieties (double click on the layer) and uncheck "visible". Press ok, your layer will be invisible from that frame and a new channel will appear. You can hide or show the layer in time adding keys on that channel.

thanks so much, I didn't realise that the visible tick box would work based on frames, I thought it was for the whole duration of the movie.

Is this same for all settings when you double click the layer?

so If I set the blur or opacity for example at a particular key frame.... never mind will test.

cheers again this forum is fast and cool...

Here is my second crazy project I am working on, if anyone is interested. It is an ongoing movie I am making up as I go. Each stage I tend to learn something about anime studio pro... but couldn't be bothered reuploading and correcting stuff that didn't work, just put new pieces to it.

You are welcome. Blur, opacity and other effects also can be animated, but you first must check "allow animated layer effects" on the proprieties.
