Here Come The Newbie Questions

Post by ymar »

Hi,

I am so new to animation I am shedding green. I could not draw a straight line even with a ruler. That makes ASP 8 a blessing, I and love it and hate it. Recently had to do a total PC clean, when I reinstall ASP it does not work the same. I've done 2 total uninstall/reinstall with same results. My character designed by Wizard no long automatically walk when placed on the screen and press play to test. I know there is the action window, but that was not needed before.

I looked at countless instructional videos and none have the answer. Loaded MP4 videos and all previously used PNG files look like ruined oil paintings, BUT those are questions for another time. I am making videos for our non-profit group nothing very sophisticated by your standards, but I need every time cutting tool I can get.......What am I doing wrong?

Normal behavior in ASPro is the walk be an action. If I remember well, is in Debut where the walk is created directly in the mainline.

Thank you,

Went from Debut to Pro. Know of the "Action" function in Pro. Maybe getting the 2 mixed up. reinstalling Debut, do a check it out.

UPDATE: selgin your answer was the key. Walking is automatically activated in Debut during Character Wizard. Project just might be ready in time.

Again, Thanks
