I'm having a problem with my audio when rendering my animation. A few of the audio layers completely drop out when I render, whereas they appear and sound great when I'm using the AS playback before rendering. Additionally, a few other layers that do appear have a TON of static over them, where others do not. Again, it all sound fine in AS before rendering.
I've looked through the forum for troubleshooting, and can't find the answer. I am running the pro version (7), and I am rendering the whole animation beginning from frame one...so I can't figure out why my audio is missing?

Also wanted to add followup question - i've seen it suggested to create all the audio using a single file in audacity. I use audacity a lot for editing, but can't think of an efficient way to mix it all as one file to sync with the animation without very laborious effort. For instance, I have background sounds and music, footsteps and thuds and other effects that obviously need to come in exactly in sync with the corresponding frame. Is there an easier way than just writing down the exact time that every sound occurs then switch back into audacity, add it, then switch back to AS to figure out the next sound and so forth? Sounds very difficult when importing a soundclip file right into AS then syncing it up is so easy - but then I get the rendering issues I mentioned above! Grrrrr!
That part of production usually is done in a video editing program which uses a lot of tracks so you can easily shift stuff around, adjust levels, and so on. You could also use some music production software which allows you to import a video track for reference. (I do that wich Logic, to compose music exactly to the fame.)

A few questions. Are you rendering from frame 1 or are you starting the render from a frame not at 1? In AS you will hear the imported audio just fine and it will render just fine if you render from frame 1. If you, however, render from a frame that does not start at frame 1 you need to move that audio layer in the sequencer so it is included into the render time frame.
