Problem when changing PC...

Post by Imago »

I hope someone can help me...
When I change PC (from my old, slow and heavily damaged notebook!) to a more powerful desktop, the audio in my projects don't work.
If i check, the audio track is fine, everything seems ok, but the audio file is missing.
I tried to reload it but ASP tells me "Audio format not supported!"... but in the old PC the audio works fine...
I'm using MP3 files, variable bitrate and numeric names (1.mp3, 2.mp3) and simple folders names.
I copied the entire folder in each PC to be esactly the same.

How can I solve this?

Make sure you have the latest version of QUICKTIME installed, you need this to play mp3 files.

I've also tried it... But the only thing I got is a message error about a missing QTCF.DLL, but ASP runs after I close that window...
The only thing I can do now is convert all the audio files in WAV format and replace them in my projects...
I've got 91 .ANME files and over 300 audio files... I'm dead!

how about this. go to the quicktime root folder, go to the QT system folder and place this .dll file there, its the one the error says is missing. then do a restart of your computer.

If that doesn't work, it could be a registry problem. Use a registry cleaner software to fix it. This has worked for me in the past.

Now it works! Thanks a lot, Jonbo!
I wonder why it's happen... I installed the newest version of QuickTime in both PCs...
