Vector Layer is Not Moving In Bone Layer

Post by GaldraxiaProductions »

Hello everyone,
I am an experienced Anime Studio Pro 6 user, and I am in the middle of building all of my characters, but I have encountered a strange problem. I went back to one of my characters to fix up its skeleton and add more points to a vector layer (a snake-like tail) so it would bend more naturally... So I added some more points and then manipulated the bones that were already hooked up to it (Yes, ALL of the characters layers are in a bone layer and I AM on frame 0, and I did check the bone parenting). The tail was not moving with the bones, it wasn't moving at all. I adjusted the bone strength, and I even deleted the bones and put new ones on with the proper settings and it still wouldn't move. This is a very strange issue and I've never encountered it before. Now I wanted to try and bind the layer to the first bone just to see if it moved that way. It did, but of course the whole layer only moved with that bone, so that's obviously not what I wanted. I do not know how to fix it. I even toggled with the flexible binding/region binding settings and used bone point control and it's still not moving. This is really aggravating me and I could use some reasonable solutions...

First try to release any binding, it's in the menu.

If that doesn't work, here's a workaround: select everything in that vector layer, copy it, paste it into a new vector layer, erase the original one. This should work now.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. I just tried both of those things and it's still not bending (how strange!). Maybe I have to redraw it? I'm not sure...

Best thing would be to post the file using mediafire.com or similar so we can have a look at it!

Oh, wait a minute! It's working now! All I did was restart my computer... That's odd! I guess it was messin' with me... Huh. Well, anyway thanks for the help! I really appreciate it! I will post if I encounter any more issues...
So you think women are just tools, right? Well just remember that we are also the ones who handle the kitchen knives.
