Empty files when Exporting from AS Pro 5.6

I was exporting files from AS Pro 5.6 yesterday, and everything was working fine, then after about 4 or 5 hours AS Pro started to export files which contained no data (0 bytes or 499 bytes.) Tried every export format and all had the same result. I tried restarting the computer but that was no help. I then turned the machine off for about an hour and when I started up again everything was fine (although Sorenson 3 disappeared..?) Another 3 or 4 hours of exporting then same problem started again, so I shut the machine off like last time and thought it would be fine again this morning. No such luck, video files empty and exporting images only includes the first 3 and a half frames. n.b. I have had a major issue with Windows last week after using Anime Studio again for the first time in a couple of years. Not sure whether the two are linked as Windows always remains somewhat of a riddle, but sufficed to say I reinstalled Windows. All very strange. Any suggestions? I'm on Vista and have been since I first bought AS Pro, and all system updates are in place if that is important.

Any help would be awesome as I'm currently trying to impress on an Internship!

2 possible cause I'm aware of:

- Have you tried to export with the same file name as before? This may result in an empty file. Change the file name every time when you export.

- Have you used a codec like H.2624? This may result in an empty file with a certain setting of keyframes (in the codec).

And always try to export a range of PNG images to test wether the anme file is OK.
