Can't import AVI files in Anime Studio Debut 6...

Post by BigMouth12349 »

Whenever I try, it comes up with this little white square that has a corner torn off and a few shapes inside of it. I've tried converting it to MOV, and then back to AVI, all to no avail.

I have Windows 7, and a Dell laptop.

What codec do you use, have you installed the last version of the codec?

I would suggest you use Quicktime though, as it is well supported by AS.

That shape that you are seeing means one of two things. Either AS does not understand the file format, or the file has been moved or deleted. If you know the file is there, it can only be because AS cannot recognise it. Something is wrong -- file extension, codec, corrupted file or similar...
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

I have had this happen before, the file was corrupt. what fixed it for me was to import it to Virtualdub and it should give you a warning and then save it as a different name and then try importing it back to AS.
Sorry for bad animation

When you save a file in vdub it actually re-compress it, so make sure you check video and sound settings before you save it back!
