Trouble with patches and visable lines.

Post by Poptoogi »

I love AS but I'm getting real frustrated with it the last couple of days. I create a complete characters with multiple switch layers for hands, facial hair etc.... and the new patch tool SEEMED to be working great and in the work area everything looks amazing BUT when I render it's showing lines where the patches are. I think it has something to do with using styles. I used styles for changing the skin color but it seems like default shapes are conflicting with the styles I'm using. Has anyone come across this problem and if so, can you explain to me why the patches aren't working?? Thanks!!! :)

can you post some screenshots? I know I got some odd behavour of fill materials through a patch layer, but if it doesn't support style changes that may be a bug?

Here's the problem. The left one is a screen cap of the work canvas and as you can see, there are no visible lines because I'm using patch layers but the right image is a render of the same frame and you can see lines all over including the nose? any ideas?
