Magnet tool

Post by sbtamu »

I just found my favorite tool in AS7. I do a lot of point animations and always used translate point tool and constantly fought with it selecting every point if I accidently clicked a line and having to hit ctrl z so much the ink on those keys are worn off my keyboard. And low and behold I had the tool all along that does EXACTLY what I needed for over a year. The Magnet tool I speak of. LOl how in the hell did I miss this new tool in the 7 release? I guess I was too lazy to actually try out new tools and see what they can do.
Sorry for bad animation

to make matters worse, the magnet tool has been around for longer than that! - if you use fazeks mod you can set it to only effect selected points which can help to avoid smooshing unwanted parts around. ;)

D'oh thanks funks, I went from AS 6 Debut to 7 Pro so I was unaware of it before. But I am still guilty of not knowing I had it

I rarely use it myself, although probably should, i believe fazeks version includes symetry options as well... although it might be someone elses mod, i think it's called 'super magnet' or something like that - maybe someone with a better memory can step in :P

I personally consider Dodgy's version to be the definitive version, as it adds the ability to use <Alt>-Drag to change the radius to Fazek's version.

It's available from his website: http://www.mikegreen.name/
