I received my copy today and was rather disappointed that Smith Micro didn't even bother to put it in a retail box. The discs and quick start booklet came shrinkwrapped together in a UPS envelope.
One of the main reasons I paid the extra $10.85 for shipping and ordered the physical retail version was so I would have a printed manual and a box to keep everything in.
I understand the lack of an actual printed manual as that is commonplace these days, but lack of a box? WTF?
Hi pwyskowski,
Last week I bought Anime Studio Pro 8 digital version to save money.
I burned a cd for a backup copy and I realized a cd cover by myself.
Here is the link to download it http://www.ichostessgroup.it/public/cover.jpg
If you would have a better resolution just ask me.
The cover is perfect for a slim dvd case.
I hope you like it.
Francesco
Excuse me for my english but I'm Italian and I'm new to the forum.
I was a little pissed myself when I didn't get the boxed version which is shown on the website. That is what I thought I was purchasing. A little misleading to say the least!

digitalartguru: Great cover. Thank you for sharing that.
InfoCentral: Yeah, I'm pretty annoyed with Smith Micro. I wouldn't have minded so much if I hadn't payed for the FULL version because their website wouldn't accept either of my serial numbers (I have Full licenses for 5 & 7).
So I feel double screwed.
This on top of when I bought 7 last year, the serial number sticker was missing from the CD sleeve and all the hoops they made me jump through to prove that I actually purchased it. Very frustrating.
