Exporting symbols to Flash

Post by jordanek »

Hello fellow Moho users!

I'm currently working on a pretty large Flash project which relies heavily on Moho character animation. I've rigged all my characters using layer binding so that they can be imported into Flash as symbols. This works fine, but the Flash files can get pretty messy with the hundreds of symbols that get imported, especially when I need to import several Moho animations into the same Flash file and want to reuse the same symbols.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to get a script that would export all the shapes of a layer in Moho as a single Flash symbol, instead of dozens of separate ones. Or is this something that would have to be changed in the Moho program itself?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

More on symbols

Better yet, would it be possible to have the symbols named according to their Moho layer name, instead of being imported into Flash as a sequential number?

Sorry, but no, this isn't something a script could do. The SWF export function is all inside the Moho program itself, and not customizable by a script. (Unless the script implemented a complete SWF exporter of its own.)

I'll have to look into naming the Flash symbols - not sure if that is possible.
