Using Rasterized Images without Pixelation?

Post by Enik »

Hi Everyone,

I have been learning ASP 6 (bought it before 7 came out and let it sit for a long time!!).

I think Im doing well with the bones, rigging, vectors, but I am having issues with the use of raster images (jpg, png, and so on...)

Here is the situation:

I would like to create backgrounds and other elements in Photoshop, but when I bring them into ASP and move the camera around, the image gets all pixelated when I come in too close. I understand what a rasterized image is, so my question is more a matter of what dimensions the image should be, or perhaps where it should be placed in the workspace?

Im working at 720p.

I'm trying to create that look of "real" backgrounds with cartoon charaters over it.

Any tips?

Thanks all! :D

If your project is 720 x 576px, your background needs to be at least the same size. If you want to zoom in, the BG must be bigger.
