Is there a tutorial somewhere on rigging an .obj object. Let's assume I import the "Panda" .obj --what EXACTLY is next? Can it be rigged and animated with normal bone manipulation? Can someone point me to how?
Thanks.

The bones in AS work only in 2-d space (x,y no z) so rigging a 3-d obj. is similar to rigging an image.Your pretty much limited to a kind of warping of the object. This isn't to say that you can't get some good results this way. Check out D.K.'s Frankenstien animation in the share your work section of the forum. That was made with a 2-d image but looks great. This would be how AS sees a 3-d object from a 2-d perspective. If you are looking for a true 3-d bone rig for the object you would need have AS7 Pro and Poser7 or higher. The object is rigged in poser and imported then animated in AS thru the poser interface.
