Multiple Strokes and the Width Tool

Post by benecosse »

I've got a line with multiple strokes applied with different widths, all good. But when I try and use the Width Tool (W) to adjust it further it goes weird.
If I select a point on the line the stroke snaps to 0 width then when I drag with the Width Tool selected, it makes all the strokes the same width - not retaining the ratio of the multiple strokes. Is there a way to avoid this?

I checked the file and tried to find a trick but I didn't...
A way to solve can be to duplicate the layer 3 times (one for shape) and work with bound points on a bone layer (if you have to animate)...
Maybe not the best but it works...

You can't get the multiple strokes trick using the line width tool. It only works with plane strokes which width is controlled on style window. Sorry.
