I think you mean the color of a shape, not a layer, correct? Some keyframes are hidden in the timeline to reduce clutter. To show these keyframes, click the "Settings..." button in the timeline. That will let you choose which keys to show and which to hide. Turn on the Fill Color and/or Selected Fill Color channels to shows the keys you're talking about.

And you still don't see the keyframes for fill color? Try this:

1. Draw a circle with Auto-fill turned on.
2. Set the current time to frame 24.
3. Use the Select Shape tool and click on the circle to select its fill.
4. In the Style window, click a different color in the Swatches area.

When you play back the animation, you should see the circle gradually change color, and there should be a keyframe at frame 24 in the Fill Color channel (also the Selected Fill Color channel as long as the shape is still selected).

Forgive me, Mel, just a couple of "obvious" things that have bitten me in the past. You have probably already checked all these.

1. Are you in normal or graphical timeline mode?
2. You have the correct layer selected in the Layers hierarchy panel when you are looking for the keyframe? (The timeline is layer specific)
3. The timeline scrolls vertically as well as horizontally to show other channels - are the fill channels showing in the timeline?

i think i have understood, the problem came from that for my shape i used to choose the gradient option. with the gradient option the color you will see is the one chosen for that option but not the fill color, so i didnt change the fill color.. :)
so if you interract only on the effects you will not see any mark in the timeline...

Hmm, you're right Mel, I get the same thing! (Moho 5.1.1,

Lost Marble, if this doesn't count as a bug, can it count as a feature request - fill effects to have keyframe markers in the timeline?

Yeah, the gradient effect is kind of a special case - it's the only fill effect with animateable parameters, and the rest of Moho doesn't know that fill effects can do that.
