help needed -Import camera

Post by rylleman »

I need a script to import the camera data from one moho scene into another.
I figured it shouldn't be to complicated so I tried to write it myself but my programming skills is less than mediocre and although I've found everything I need in the lua reference from LM I can't figure out how to put everything together in a working script.
Can anyone give me some hint of how I should do it? Or if someone have the time to put a script like that together I'd be VERY grateful.

I asked in the past for a script like that can export/import camera keys, but nothing... I HOPE that you be more lucky!

PD: Are you sure that you can not have a copy of your proyect where you have the camera movements, clear all inside that proyect and finally go to the other proyect, group all and import the group layer (with all inside) in the empty camera movents proyect? Then you can "ungrop" and have the same proyect but with camera information (I supposed), GOOD LUCK!

I wrote an exporter meant to send camera data out to other programs here:

I wrote an importer but I don't think I ever uploaded it, I'll do that as soon as I get out of the shop (may be a while, I've slept here the last 2 nights...), that will certainly do the job. It was one of the first things I did that wasn't just a massive tweak of an existing tool, and it actually works pretty much flawlessly. Ramon, I'm surprised you never saw it.

...Hey! (HOLA) :o I'm the surprised now! I Knew about that, yes... but I thought that this only was interesting for Maya users... There is a lot of text in that post and maybe I don't read/understood very well al last (my english, again...) Well! I'll read carefully now and use it without doubt! CIAO! (and thanks :D )

I will put up the importer, and instructions that can be understood. I'm sorry, sometimes I get complicated in my speech. I remember when I lived in Paris, most of the people I knew would play all sorts of word games in their normal speech, and as my French sucked I would look very confused a lot. My espanol is better, but still not so good. I wrote that on a request that asked for export to Maya, and didn't think so much about using the same camera movement in different Moho projects. Dumb of me, it seems to be a natural. I will make up better instructions for it's use. And I still must put up the importer. Soon.

I'll put up the importer as soon as I can. I'd like to see my bed (and the computer next to it) as soon as I can, but I got stuff to do. Ack!

No need to hurry with the script.
Good luck with the work you're doing!, isn't deadlines and 48 hours straight races of work just lovely?
