Hm, can't watch the animation yet (something about it being saved and encoded) but I can tell you that you shouldn't use that guideline. Just look at his leg, it's stretched most of the time. It doesn't bend when weight is shifted on it (as a matter of fact : your guideline doesn't even show that important moment when weight is shifted). Your animation will not have "weight" when you follow this guideline.
Uhm... My brother says the same too!
But I think Preston Blair's giudeline are too "personal"... There are some "generic" stuff?
Now I will try whit the Idleworm tecnique...
I think "he" walks still a bit to static. Moreover you could try to speed the walk animation up a little? Another thing is that he glides a bit on the ground, when he walks. Try to let the foot stay on the ground more, maybe?
Uhm... Yes, he needs some coffee...
About the gliding... I don't know how to make the right "timing" with steps and ground.
There are some "secret tecnique"?
Well, I do not know "the secret", hehe. i just would try to work with the onion function, if you have the ability. Set an onion for the last step on the ground and try to let the foot be placed in there, till he gets up.
If you do not have the onion-function (pro only? I'm not sure; I just have the pro-student version in which the onion function is available), you could just place a simple vector dummy on the place where the foot should stay, until it gets up. I hope you understand what I mean.
Sorry for bad english.
Maybe a pro can explain this technique a bit better or haas another better technique, hehe.
New attempt trying Tagirijus' Onionskin tecnique.
A bit better... But there are something wrong...
The most difficult thing is the size of paralassing background and step timing.
P.S.
Mods are singing "We will, we will... BAN YOU!"
I'm posting too much...
