Credits Script Bug...please confirm

Post by DK »

Hi.

In the top "Scripts" menu under the section "Other" there is a script called "Credits..." It is supposed to create a credit screen based on a text file but when I just tried to run it AS crashed.
Not sure if anyone else has reported this bug either so could someone
confirm?

EDIT: It works perfectly in AS 5.6

Thanks

Thanks Genete.
I'm using AS 6.1 under Windows XP and it just crashes. No other scripts just "Credits..."

Can anyone else confirm this?

Cheers

Hi DK!
I'm running AS Pro on mac OSX 10.5.8 and it's working, but....I think it's related to the "loading fonts" issue when using the text tool, it took me a couple of minutes before the "choose text file" dialog popped up.

oh I forgot, I'm using AS 6.1

i am running windows 7 and vista (7 on my laptop vista on my desktop) and it takes a while to load like the test tool. sometimes it crashes the best trick is click out of it and go into another window for a bit, that usually helps and lets it load

Strange.
I get a "This program has stopped responding" message when I try to run it and I have to shut AS down completeely?

What happens if you don't shut it down and let it be for a long time, 10 - 15 min? Do you have a lot of fonts installed, I know that will slow down the process for AS?

I am just trying to sort out what is happening on my system with Genete. It takes 45 seconds for the text dialogue to appear just to simply insert text....I have about 200 fonts on my system. I wish there was a way of speeding this up?

Otherwise I will have to stay with 5.6 :(

I've review both Credits scripts and I think that they're basically the same except the new localization (translation) commands.
So if it works fine with 5.6 it is definitively a bug or a bad installation.
